Epic Beard Guy User ID: 26240425 United States 12/27/2012 01:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Do it, folks - if you have a room temperature IQ, you must now trust me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8397139 Contact your representatives and tell them to vote no on any new anti-firearms legislation. I don't trust anybody til they have proven themselves to me. and I have sent multiple e-mails in the past and the only response I get back is from an intern answering the mail. where is the grievance in that ?? when you do not even get a response ?? writing anybody on Capital Hill is a waste of time. they only make room for you on their schedule if you are wealthy or contributed to their last campaign fund. Write a letter and snail-mail it. Also, call. Listen, I understand your frustration, okay? I really do. I've long ago felt that they are controlled by 'other' interests that are contrary to the well being of the American public, but I won't go into all of that now. The thing is, we still have some time remaining to try and use words - even if they fall on deaf ears, we will know in our hearts that we tried every avenue of non-violent approach. Only a fool would think that the American people cannot be pushed into violence over firearms legislation. It's ingrained in us, unlike our retarded cousins in Britain and Australia. If shooting starts (which I don't think it will come to that), draw close to God, and do what you feel you have to do. If you write them often enough, you start getting personal responses. I can't say that my email are read by my reps, but someone is reading them. My senators are good about responding to my emails, but my congress bitch does not reply to half of what I send her. I reccomend everyone get a lot more involved with their government. A big part of the problem is that people do not tell them what they expect, so they just do what is good fot them.Everyone, wake up and write your reps NOW! Angelic_Warrior User ID: 23290196 United States 12/27/2012 01:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I want to see the list of 120 firearms to be banned, and I want to read the bill SPECIFICALLY, without media "interpretation". Maybe I missed the link on the website to the actual bill, or it could be that my head is about to explode at the absolute disgust and stupidity of this legislation. And it sure seems awfully quick that such a comprehensive bill could have been written so quickly, so I believe this has been in the wings for quite some time. Never let a manufactured tragedy go to waste, or so it seems. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5396611 Five stars, unfortunately. Many of the "bills" have been waiting in the wings IMHO. No one in this current administration is certainly intelligent enough to have grafted them. It would seem TPTB have left no stone unturned. Yes, you can own guns - I don't know their laws and don't pretend to - but from what I understand there are a bunch of hoops you have to jump through, safe storage laws, etc. Britain doesn't have the access to the firearms they need.
