Exactly. He was a tyrant, and responsible for more deaths of Americans than any other President in history, BY FAR.

And that's why he's celebrated as a hero, and one of the greatest presidents, by the banking elites that own and control the government.

~suspends habeus corpus
~arrests the Maryland legislature because they might disagree with him
~is said to have an arrest warrant issued for the Supreme Chief Justice who disagreed with him on suspending rights
~arrested a few thousand newspaper editors and writers because they disagreed
~ deliberately acted to destroy the spirit and livelihoods of non combatants in the southern states, letting many freeze and suffer during the winter months, at a time (the mid 19th century) when non combatant civilians were still considered off limit by most civilized nations at war
~approved of measures to use rape as a weapon against the women of the occupied southern states

and on top of all that, didn't even seem to like the former slaves and was already making plans to ship them off to dig the Panama Canal to get them out of the USA

sure sounds like a wonderful role model to me...

and yes, I grew up with Lincoln hero worship like everyone else my age, and yes, he was a wonderful writer

but I read and re-read US history from 1789 to 1860, and no where could I see where states which had peaceably joined to form a union were told they would be crushed if they chose to exit.

If it had been there, I imagine almost none of the state representatives would have agreed to that clause, or signed the articles of confederation, as they had just fought the battle of their generation to get free of the yoke of a Monarchy

They had spent years crafting a document to ensure that they would have rights and freedoms going into the future, why would they agree to a union, an experiment in government which had no exit?

By the way, it was Lincoln that originally dealt the fatal blow to the Constitution. Congress disbanded in 1861 prior to the Civil War, and was never lawfully reconvened. After that, he gave himself dictatorial powers basically, and since then the federal government has done whatever it has wanted, completely sidestepping the Constitution.

Lincoln is responsible for creating the federal monster we have today, that has been ignoring the Constitution entirely for over 150 years now.

The Catholics and Masons running the Civil War on both sides must have thought so, they assassinated the president.

President Lincoln did no such thing. The war was fomented long before he ever took office with four states ready to leave the union. Washington DC has always been an occult ran dictatorship. They took states rights at this time. Lincoln had no say in the matter, just a figurehead no different than Obama today.

He did try and end it all tho by arresting some of the Copperheads causing the war. For this they killed him. The conspiracy was far too big as JFK would also learn.

You are spot on! Unfortunately, most people find it too taboo to admit. The educational system and media focus on Lincoln as if he were the founding father. Perhaps in a sick way, they are right. We are living his federal legacy.

How about relocating thousands of citizens based on ethnicity as Grant did to American Jews with general order #11, or deporting and colonizing the entire black population back to Africa which was Lincoln’s ultimate goal, all while beginning the extermination of Native Americans. Entire volumes have been written about war crimes against Southern civilians perpetrated by his generals and condoned by the president, in some cases even promoting them afterwards.

Almost immediately after taking office, Lincoln became a self appointed military dictator, trampling the constitution and suspending civil liberties. He provoked a war while Congress was in recess and refused all attempts at diplomacy. The principles of separation of powers and checks and balances were nearly nonexistent. He even went so far as to threaten the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court with imprisonment.

So just why do we need another Lincoln Bill? If it's a totalitarian dictatorship your looking for I'd suggest North korea or Cuba...

Abraham Lincoln’s reputation as the great champion of America’s slaves has taken a battering amid new evidence that the revered president wanted to send many of them to toil in British colonies in the Caribbean.
