Anonymous Coward User ID: 32492066 Australia 01/18/2013 01:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh Man! That is just wrong. I am sorry you are experiencing that. cars, machines and electrical appliances are overheating, plants are shrivelling , dogs are panting non stop and human skin is peeling like it is sunburnt without the red, in total shade. no one is outside in the hottest hours . to avoid heatstroke you have to stay inside in front of several fans and wet your head literally every five minutes.doubt many aircons would cope with this type of heat. today is a respite at only 39 C , tommorrow, it will be ten degrees hotter again. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15751650 Canada 01/18/2013 01:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yup it's snowing here in Canada and I love it. Hope you are able to cool down. I talked with my uncle who lives in Adeleide and he said he doesn't have air conditioning. I asked him if he goes to the mall to cool down (that's what we do here in the summer when it gets hot) and he said they have parking limits? Or something? I could not understand but basically you can't just park and hang out in the mall. |

Mall parking lots have time limits too usually 2 hours, but I've never known anyone to get booked. I used to live in Perth (as well as Sydney) and people go to malls and take a book or the casino. |

Quoting: Anonymous Cowherder stay hydrated. Fresno has seen days above 110 Fahrenheit, i can sympathize with and for you(OP), drink another cold tea, or water, and don't try to quench your thirst with beer. It's nice inside a hotel or casino when its 112 outside, eh vegas! “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” |

lassensage User ID: 32364875 United States 01/18/2013 02:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That is some miserable heat. I was raised in a part of California that often stays in the 100'sF and does get up to 120F during the summer. Which may be why I live high in the Northern California mountains and have 3 ft of snow and 6inches of ice in my yard. It's been freezing since before xmas, and finally started melting 2 days ago. It takes a sledgehammer to clear off the porch and steps. 10F nights are something else. Wish I could send you some of this chilly weather. Take it easy and stay alive, its got to get cooler for you soon. |

I have to have ice in my water because when I turn on the cold water it comes out warm. The only air con we have is when the dog wags its tail. |
