Russia prepares massive evacuation from Syria. Assad sleeping on Russian ship? | |
Russian guy (OP) User ID: 24071670 Bulgaria 01/18/2013 01:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | these things dont happen overnight rather being prepared for weeks if not months. And they are present in the news for those who follow them. Currently Russia brought the biggest fleet since Cold War in Mediterranean. It is kind of pity that they become headlines when everyone knows it. 2-3 days maximum for translations in other languages. So is Russia going for a massive operation in Syria or only to gather its many thousands citizens? Strange coincidence with Obama second term. |

I guess now it will be made headline by someone else. Russia ‘Flexes Muscles’ in Mediterranean Amid Syrian Crisis [link to en.rian.ru] "MOSCOW, January 20 (RIA Novosti) – Russia has started the largest naval exercises in the past few decades in the Mediterranean and Black Seas as a civil war in Syria continues to gain momentum. The drills involve task forces from Russia’s Black Sea, Northern and Baltic fleets, strategic bombers, tactical aircraft, air defense units, paratroopers and naval infantry." what do they NOT involve? |

Thanks for kind words Russian guy. Are you a Russian in Bulgaria? Lots of MSM reporting Russian navy drills and presence in the Med, lots of landing ships though, i'm not convinced that Russia will fight in Syria. |

Just comes the next news: Russia sending two planes to pick Russians who want to leave Syria [link to rt.com] seems it will be humanitarian rather than military action, at first |

Russian response will come from Caucasus as i see it. ;) Last Edited by insertfunnyusername on 01/21/2013 12:58 PM |

Quoting: An Ordinary Greek 32728960 NO coincidence that today Patriot missiles arrived in Turkey by sea. Within the next days the whole A/A system will be 100% operational. Well on Jan.6, Assad in a rare appearance pretty much declared war to the rebels and the west. Patriot missiles according to plan, Turkey had military drills with invasion scenarios close to the Syrian border the past week, they'll go in without NATO troops probably. |

Check statements by sultantard Erdogan today here: My brothers, others came from thousands of kilometers away and justified invading Iraq. We cannot remain aloof from Syria, with which we have 910 kilometer-long border. We should do whatever is necessary and we will do so [link to www.hurriyetdailynews.com] Syrian Kurds getting attacked for some time now by various shady rebel groups, they blame Turkey off course. insertfunnyusername User ID: 32224343 Greece 01/21/2013 02:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Funny thing is that Turkey "will pay for it", for the fact that back in 2003 they didn't let US Forces invade Iraq through Turkish-Iraqi borders. Quoting: An Ordinary Greek 32728960 And now they make an alliance with Iraqi-Kurds and screwing Iraq. Iraqi govt blames them for wanting to dismember Iraq. Times change as it seems, oil rules. |

You can guess how's it's gonna be till the end of the first quarter... Quoting: An Ordinary Greek 32728960 True, doesn't look good. Second quarter will have more fireworks imo, spring-summer is more war-friendly, i can't even imagine how things will be in the end of the year. |
