According to the comments @ the link the weapon fired when the cop installed a zip tie without checking that the chamber was cleared.

This was breaking on MSNBC a short time ago.
It was only a matter of time. Spin cycle engage.

Every gun show I've been to has someone outside to check if your gun is loaded and put a zip tie on it. The cop was an idiot if this was the case.
