I know several progressive people that literally want to see military members put on trial and taken out of society when they come back from the warzone for following along with the "war machine" willingly. Progressives despise the idea that anyone would join the military to fight for what they are told is freedom instead of protesting at home against anyone in government that is not a progressive, violently if necessary. They don't think US soldiers fight for freedom and justice, as their idea of freedom and justice is the government controlling everything for the good of everyone at the expense of everyone. It's sick as hell, and makes you want to tell them how extreme and mentally unstable they are every day. |

We write a blank check to our government, payable with all we have and all we will ever have. In exchange we work days with no quitting times, subject ourselves to hazardous conditions 24 hours a day, do our duty in temperatures from minus 70 to temperatures above 130, without much if anything in the way of rest. And we are glad to do it. For our country, for our family and for you. So when I hear someone deride or vilify the military, I smile.
