Before we know whether we believe in god, we ought to decide what god is. we dont need any religion to tell us what god is because each and every one of us has as much insight into the reality of god as all of historys collective religious teachings put together. I qualify this by the fact that NOBODY KNOWS. Most importantly, an opinion doesnt make you right. I have my own beliefs, I believe there is something that many humans call god, and I believe whatever it is, we are part of it, I am also an athiest when considering anything that we call god to be an individual being. see we can have it both ways.

I don't believe in science, because science is merely a way of trying to describe understand what happens on this plane of existence.

It's like the alphabet or numbers - we use them everyday in order to explain certain things, but they don't truly hold any value and could be easily replaced with a different structure.

Atheism has everything to do with science, because it was created out of science you dumb piece of shit. According to your logic, without science, atheism couldn't even exist. Because why do atheists have a disbelief in god ? Because science implies that. Simple fact.

I've been to Asia a couple of times and there are plenty of buddhists that consider their belief a religion. Because religions aren't simply based on the belief of god, but creation itself. How we came to be.

Both Science and Religion have answers (theories) for that particular question, so it makes them both the same.
