Stay home and cook. Many states don't require wait staff to make minimum wage, so they are getting paid 2-6.00 an hour. By the way, according to wallstreet journal, 18% is the average tip these days. 10% was the average in 1950. |

The alternative would be for the restaurant to pay the severs 20-30 dollars an hour, and then raise the price of the food to cover that. Then you couldn't afford to go out to eat.
