We, the American people, have been conditioned to accept the government being at war with us for decades.

War on Poverty
War on Illiteracy
War on Drugs
War on Terrorism
War on Obesity
War on .........

While each of these surely warrant being addressed, it is the use of each as a "boogey man" that has allowed the War on the Citizenry to be slid in under the door.

The government has told us their intentions for generations, and it is now coming to fruition - why do we seem so surprised? It is we who welcomed this mindset into our homes and set it a plate at our tables.

I deployed to 6 Combat Tours in 3 Separate Theaters of Operations, I got shot, shelled, missile strikes, Land Mine detonations, in Defense & Offense for the Beliefs and Values of the United States of America.

World War 2 lasted 6 years from 1939-1945. I have a great respect for the World War 2 Veterans. America Joined in the War on Dec 7,1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked and 2 days later the U.S. Declared War.

World War-2, for America & "The Greatest Generation", lasted From December 9, 1941 til Armistice signing on August 14, 1945, that's approximately 4 years 9 months.

I personally have 7 years and 3 months of Combat/Hazardous duty pay. I Spent 10 years from September 1990 til April 2000 "Deployed for America.

Army - Tours:
1990-1991 IRAQ - Desert Storm
1992-1993 - South Korea - DMZ
1994-1995 - U.N. Mission in Haiti
1996-1998 - IFOR/SFOR
1998-2000 - South Korea

There are "Many Among Us here at GLP" that you refer to as ass-hats.

Yes, hindsight is 20/20...but the government never really has told us their true intentions. They've used trauma mind control and double speak on good-hearted people who took things at face value.

1) the side of the American Patriot - the side that started and grew this country into something great, proud and free. The side that gives people the right to free speech, religion and self-preservation

2) the Other side - the side that encourages big daddy government to do everything for you. Government must be big, so throw money at it to protect you, to speak for you, to tell you how to tie your shoes. And any infraction of what daddy says, lands you in jail. The side that's been running this country the last 4 years and has turned it into a shithole.

Once again I am going to say that the best way is to stand your ground though, and not to look for a fight on this.

Should you give up your firearms? Well of course not if you don't want to, and in my opinion you shouldn't.

But don't be too quick to go looking for a fight, because usually when you do that you will find one. War is not something to wish for, and in my opinion is something to be avoided almost at all cost.

The exception to this is when all other means have been exhausted, and being honest that point is not far off. Clearly the PTB don't want to take no for an answer, and are pushing for confiscation no matter what the people want.

But remember it would most likely be domestic military and/or law enforcement that would perform the confiscation. The best thing we can do is to help those confused on this stuff to see the light. Don't make your own countrymen your enemy, make them your friends and allies.

If they don't want to see the truth, and do whats right? Well then there's just not much you can do about it at that point. Nobody can be faulted for standing up for their natural right to defend themselves and their family.

I am seeing too many people that seem that they almost want a fight though, and I just cannot condone that. War really is hell no matter what TV, movies, or video games have led anyone to believe.

I deployed so many times to war, and believe me it's not something to wish for. I realize that people feel their hand is being forced, and in fact it very much is. But at the same time you just have to let things take their natural course, and provoking a fight is not the answer.

The answer is to strive for peace, but also at the same time to not submit to tyranny. It's kind of a delicate balancing act, and it requires a lot of self control. We are getting put in between a rock and a hard place, and it's just not cool in any way I will admit.

Making public statements like "We will go to war" and all that is just not necessary. All you have to do is have faith in your beliefs, and stand by them as well.

Remember the very people that would likely be trying to take your guns would be your own countrymen. Some of those people in uniform are no doubt just plain confused, and they won't understand that what they are doing is wrong.
