that's good to know next time i run out of coffee. i have lots of socks.

I'm guessing you used the sock as a filter. I took some old t-shirts, laid a plate over them, drew circles then cut them out to fit my funnel to use as filters instead of using paper ones. The t-shirt filters work great. I wash them, let them dry and use them over and over again.

Only on GLP lol.

I prefer filtering the grounds with a diaper.

But socks work too.

Pantyhose work great as a filter too! I have onions stored in the legs of mine with a knot tied off in between the onions, then i hang them in my walk in closet off of the breakfast room where its nice and cool. Onions keep for a long time this way.

I like the hobo method where you just put the grounds in a pan of water and then tap the pan really hard to make them settle when it's ready. Nice thick chewy coffee.

Sounds like the cheaper version of the Tody coffee maker method.
