Does Anybody Here Suffer From FACIAL TICS?????
Its ruining my life. I grimace a lot and constantly deal with spasms around my mouth and tics. Does anybody here know how to deal with them? Its making me suicidal.....

Got one really big one under my eye and it morphed into social anxiety disorder, pretty much ruined my life. Fucked up, right? From taking too much drugs I think and staying up all night at parties.

No caffeine, nicotine, Adderall, Ritalin, or any other stimulants. In fact, no alcohol or any other drugs, either.

15 minutes strenuous exercise daily, followed by 15 minutes meditation.

Focus on being aware of when you are tensing your muscles, and consciously release tension and relax.

I heard magnesium is good for them. Also, make sure you are getting adequate sleep. If they are psychological, use the acceptance paradox. Just accept them, they are common enough. Accept them as temporary and it should leave you when you stop caring about it.

Heard they are caused by stress so good diet and daily exercise will help.

Just googled and read this:

11/29/2012: Tiffany from Mason replies: "I am 48 years old and have some for of tic issue all of my life. I read about taking more magnesium from different web sites and within a few days of adding it along with zinc to my diet and reducing my caffeine intake I feel like a different person. No more embarassing facial expressions, sounds etc. Kudos to the people who shared this priceless information."

As crazy as it sounds, Botox is now being used as treatment.
