Yeah. Carlin was making the point that it was bullshit. I was making a different point. I'm saying that it is in literal fact... a conspiracy theory. Christians are literally conspiracy theorists. And yet the average Christian won't bat an eye when talking about the invisible man behind everything, but if you say something like... "maybe a secret society did it..." they will dismiss you as a nut.

Christianity is worse than the flouride in the water. Way worse. These dummies think they are getting a golden parachute at the end of their life, so they are appeased, even living in ultimate slavery and squalor.

I think religion is meant to keep people docile and easy to control. Instead of them rising up and trying to make change, they sit there and rely on God to do everything for them. For the littlest, trivial bullshit things they say ''Help me Lord'', as if God would help you pay your fucking bills instead of helping the starving. Lack of responsibility and action is what is got people fucked in the heads. Paganism is the best ''religion'' I have ever looked into. It's all about self reliance and progress. Not this passive bullshit mentality.

OP, you make good points. Religion is used to control the masses and makes for a great excuse to kill your fellow man all in the name of a loving god. But, the bottom line is this; humans are a warlike species to begin with and religion is just a catalyst. Until our consciousness evolves, we will be killing each other over nothing.
