Do we even know what real worship is? Is it a church service that lasts forever or something more like a conversation with somebody we really like and admire. Like when you meet your favorite movie star or celebrity and he shakes your hand and talks with you for a second while you fawn all over him.

People will stand out all day in the rain to catch a glimpse of some star walking up the red carpet or to get tickets to a concert, a band they love.

That question has crossed my mind many times before you asked it here. All I can say is I don't know what it's going to be about, so I can't make a decision without the facts. I suspect it's going to be like the movie star sort of thing. You'll be so awestruck, you won't want to ever lose sight of him. I know that may be hard to imagine because even the brightest star we have on earth is only slightly like that to any reasonable person who isn't totally obsessed.

This is what gets me - why we have to worship God and why God needs us to worship him ???

Ask yourself... if your parents never gave a shit about you and ignored you most of the time, would that make you feel good? Did you think it was nice when your mom used to hug you and tell you she loved you, or did you not give a shit either?

Why would god be so unlike us that he wouldn't share some of our characteristics and traits. Probably most the would be my guess.

Do we get a choice of which god, I havent worked out yet if the christian god or the muslim god is the more violent, If I was forced to make a choice of god worshipping I would really need to know which one was going to cause me the most harm and so that one would get my vote simply because of their level of violence and revenge.

If it means anything like the literal interpretation of kissing feet, constantly bowing down, etc, etc...doesn't sound very appealing...


But, if it's part of a relationship where you could maybe interchange the word with love, then, i'd much rather do so than not have loved at all.

I love GOD to the best of my understanding. What I really believe to know of HIM.

I feel like a child in awe. Wanting to know HIM more. In amazement at the possabilities unknown.
And from everything I understand worship to be, I choose to love GOD and worship HIM. In my heart, i feel it is more than you make it out to be but not something burdensome as you seem to think. But something special. Something unique. I can look into the sky and am in awe at the work of HIS hands, just the same as the beauty of a baby. I am speachless in a sense.

I am thankfull.
