In Canada, in BC, the min wage is $10/hour - and there are still many successful businesses and many many rich people here. You think prices wont change if companies must pay more? Making 9 will end up being the same as making 5 and hour. Plus min wage jobs are unskilled labor. If you want to earn more, learn a skill or trade. Then you will be worth more. |

It's a good experience and builds references. No one ever expects to "raise a family" at burger king. Thats the false narrative. It's not worth 15 an hour, I say that because a lot of places are actually paying 10 now because all the low skill workers are on unemployment and the kids are living off parents. So this idea that it's greedy people forcing others into servitude in insane. It really is a disease of people out of touch with reality. |
