I think the ash fallout will depend on how large the eruption, and what time of year it happens. If in the Winter, when the winds are normally blowing from the North/Northwest, the fallout will spread further south and east. If in the Summer when winds are blowing mostly from the South, the fallout will blow more northward...imho.
