There is no god. Rights derive from the social contract. They are not a gift from anyone; they are a mental and social construct that we agree to abide by for our mutual benefit and the proper functioning of society.

Well, then "he" has no bearing on matters of public policy. Only children believe in fairy tales. Sorry, but secular humanism won out over religion, because it is clearly superior in every way. Prove God does not exist.....better yet, prove to me you don't beat your wife. ;) As it is believers who make extraordinary claims about a deity for which nobody has any actually evidence, and as one cannot logically prove a negative, the burden of proof is on the believers. I don't care if you believe in a god, but without objective proof for god's existence, it has no place or bearing on matters of public policy in a secular society such as ours. Doesn't matter, our Forefathers believed and they wrote those rights into the Constitution as inalienable... Trumped...
