I think he then went and took St. Johns Wort and seemed to mellow out. He drinks lots of tea. Proper good green teas etc. are really good. The thing is though, it's all about the will. If your dad can't be arsed, you can't force the horse to water and make it drink, especially if you're the son. Ask him if he feels happy. Ask him what would make him happy. Ask him how it involves him and not things/possessions 'no bills to pay'. See if he gives a shit telling you, then find a way of helping. Ask questions. When someone's in the shit and they want to speak, if someone asks the questions, they will. Otherwise just a couple of bottles a night and forget about it... |

I really don't believe his addictions are his problems, I know if his diet was straightened out, or if he took supplements for his high blood pressure then he would be better off ... His dream of dying scared me tho, I need healthtards!! |

I really appreciate this thank you so much :) His main problem seems to be his stress tho, his face is always deep red and something is always pissing him off ... I've been researching fluoride and the pineal gland, maybe with a fluoride free diet and fresh fruits and veggies to combat his body ailments, just maybe he will do a 180 toward better health?? |

Celery is great for stomach ulcers. You can purchase an inexpensive juicer for around $49 and make a tall glass of juice at least once a day. If he enjoys it he might want to make it more often. It should be drank as soon as possible because the enzymes are alive and provide amazing energy and also detox too. I agree with you completely regarding the mind over body thinking. This kind of thought prevents many ailments that otherwise might manifest. Hope your father can get excited to add juicing to his daily regime. Both of you will notice a big difference in no time. . |

Sorry to hear about your father I think you know already what he needs to do. The alcohol must stop. That will put huge strain on the liver. Stress is definitely always a problem and can cause many un diagnosed problems. Sadly in his case the bills are his driving force. If there is any way to down scale your debt requirements that will allow him to work maybe a day a week less. Sleep is very important. 8-9 per night. And yes diet. For you are what you eat. Fresh fruit, an abundance of fresh veggies, some meat (grass fed/antibiotic free) at best. Juicing veggies/greens is magical to the body. (as already mentioned various time before my post) Drink plenty of water. Tap water is poisoned so seeks clean un fluoridated un chlorinated source. All of these tips can be introduced slowly. A step in the right direction gets you closer to your dads health. "Never tell people what to do"... especially dads. I wouldn't see him or his actions as any type of 'illness', he's just stuck in a rut, like pretty much most other humans working the grind. Try to give some love. Try to show some perspective. Offer genuine help and concern. Try to empathise more than sympathising. Laugh together. Do stuff together 'Let's do something we never do, suggestions on a postcard'. |

My father is suffering from many medical illnesses, from vicious rashes and lesions appearing on his skin, to his stomach pains which I assume to be ulcers? He's 46, eats about twice a day, has really high blood pressure, is what many would consider an alcoholic (drinks 6 out of every 7 days at least), smokes like a chimney (cigarettes and cannabis), works 6 or 7 days every week to keep the bills at bay, and is overall just very stressed over everything. Also he is not in anyway spiritual or religious which is absolutely one of his problems (mind over matter; faith over fear). Quoting: Friends :) 32254395 I just wish to lengthen his life with a better diet and anything that can combat the symptoms I have listed. Please ask anything you want to know if it can help my fathers health. He just a few minutes ago told me of a dream he had the other night, where he died and a bunch of people showed up at his funeral, and he described many details but that is hardly the point... I guess this is ok for my op. please ask anything of me, just from one glper to another, I need help. Thanks He needs to quit smoking. Cut back on his drinking. Cut WAY back on his stress level. If it involves a life style change, then so be it. Red Clover & Vit. E oil should help with the rashes. vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |

I could write a book on stress with my dad. His blood pressure was so high, face off the scales, he could've pumped nitrogen. The thing is, it's still taking a while, but we pretty much figured out how his childhood had fucked him up and left scars deeper than space lol. Unfortunately, he decides to deal with it internally (he's pretty good at it, but hey, nobody's perfect). The stress thing comes mostly from dad syndrome 'must', not 'could' [there being no other option as a dad]. It also comes from frustrations that are buried within and never surface. If the shit's in the stomach, you need to go for a shit. I also recommend the vegetable juices. My sister does wicked ones when I'm back home, they blast you into hyperspace first thing in the morning - WAY better than coffee. She chops everything in, ginger, orange, apple, celery, whatever she can find. They look stodgy, but really take it away. Instead of talking about all this shit though, just do it. Bring him a glass of something, even just freshly squeezed orange juice. Get him the best pineapple you can lay your hands on, share it, chew the fat. |

Just do a couple of small things. I did a whole herb garden round my parents' with 18 different types of herbs, some double, some triple, everyone loves them. What you grow comes from your hands, your energy and your heart. You make your salad. Without you, the salad would not be able to exist, so it works especially hard just for you. :] |

He has to be willing to change first, and yes the addictions are part of the problem. Why? because his addictions are keeping his blood acidic. It's all in the blood, anything that makes the blood more alkaline will help his body recover. Acidic blood starts clotting and produces heart complications and since it cant travel into the bones it also causes other things such as osteoporosis and arthritis. Greens such as kelp are highly alkaline. If you think he is willing to take it all the way then this thread will help. Thread: ANYONE ELSE HERE INTO LIFE EXTENSION ? |

Well, I'll toss out some comments and ideas. Your pops is fairly young, so any positive changes he makes now will certainly improve his future. Tell him to start out by drinking more water. A lot of people are dehydrated and don't know it. Drinking alcohol isn't so bad if you have a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, but if he's throwing back whiskey by the tumbler loads each night, that is not good. Mostly, because you said he only eats twice a day and thats pretty rough on the liver. Tell him to drink more water! Cigarettes....he should quit, we all know why. No worries about the weed....it's all good, he works hard and it sounds like that isn't the problem. People seem to always forget their head is connected to their body. It's always good to check-out whats going on upstairs, and rid yourself of the negative waste along with pursuing positive health changes. You sound like a caring person, good luck with your quest |
