The three-month formulation of Invega Sustenna is being developed by Johnson & Johnson's (JNJ: Quote) subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, a licensee to Alkermes' proprietary technology for nanoparticles.

According to Alkermes, under the phase III program, two studies of the three-month formulation of Invega Sustenna have been initiated and are expected to enroll about 1,800 patients with schizophrenia.

The clinical studies are expected to be completed in the second half of calendar year 2014.

You do realize this is nothing new. The clean up manhattan by gathering the unsightlies, homeless, etc started in the 1990's with Giuliani as he "cleaned up manhattan".

A lot of these were just picked up and dropped off in a borrough across the way (brooklyn). A lot of those that were mentally in also made it across to other borroughs and after they are discharged, they generally stayed around wherever the hospital would pay the cab to.

Usually nearest salvation army or park with a place to sleep.

25 people in all of NYC. I have to assume these are some seriously disturbed folks.

Yup it's like the gun laws. They muddy up the water by talking about only assult weapons and how we don't need high capacity magazine and high powered guns. Get people all on board about that. So the majority of people don't really need to take a stand about it one way or the other, then change the meaning of the words assult and high capacity.

Then once they get everybody to say "yeah yeah that's a good idea" then they say "oh well we stuck in a few caveats that we think will make this law even better". Then WHAM!! before you know it, we all have a problem.

That fits perfect with healthcare being under governments thumb. That way they have access to everyones records. Can you say FEMA Camp?

I was homeless for 5 months because of psychosis.
I should have been in hospital and so should many homeless people.

The people they are targeting are genuinely dangerous.. because they are absolutely crazy.. have you ever had contact with someone that crazy? they are literally dangerous and need to be hospitalised. For their safety and for everyone else's.

this warrant they talk about is in many countries. It's not new and it's not odd - it's for people who are in a dangerous state and who should be being medicated and kept out of public until they are better but who just run off and go fuck it. They cause genuine fucking trouble, these people. becuase they are as insane as it gets... unless you have seen it or been it don't just go OMG they want to take away our liberty blar de blar it's for no reason!!!!.. um no.. it's for a very good reason.

Cops have been rousting the "mentally ill" from subways, streets, and doorways since they were dumped-out of institutions decades ago. It happens all the time here. Nothing new.

The "mentally ill" living on the streets are routinely rounded-up in the winter when the temp falls below 0 and are brought, without consent, to shelters or jails until the temp rises again. It happens all the time here. Nothing new.

The only thing new here is the top 25 list because the City wants to protect their corrupt coffers. Bloomberg's only priority is money and his personal gain.

My guess is people who swing wildly at imaginary people/objects, charge at others and yell, make threatening gestures, etc.

There are plenty of people on the street who are a little strange but they are not hurting anyone, and there are plenty of people on the street who belong in a locked facility because they are a danger to themselves and others.

Don't believe it? Hang out in Grand Central for a while and get to know one of the more "animated" types. Better yet, let's see how long you can keep up a conversation with one of them withing shoving distance of the train tracks. Not willing? Good, that means you have a will to live.

This. I've ran into some scary vagrants in my day. Drove past a guy last week who was just walking around yelling and beating the ground with a stick.

Of course the cop in front of me didn't want to bother investigating. Unfortunately he'll probably have to chew someones face off before he get's legitimate help.

Very true and very sad. These people need care and supervision. Instead they got the "humane" treatment and were let out to fend for themselves (translation: freeze to death and be abused/threaten others/harm themselves)

i live alone with my kitties and talk to them as if theyare human, because iam afraid if i donot use my voice, when i get out in public iwill not know how to talk.

The kitties have gotten so use to my talking to them that thehave begun to answer and laugh at my jokes

sorry but i don't understand how your comments relate to my post. There are psychotic homeless people everywhere, in every city, in every homeless population. They form the bulk of homeless people, really; people in various types of mental illnesses, who have no family or no family who cares enough to make sure they are looked after. That is one area which just falls through every crack a society has. Perhaps the northern European countries have learned how to deal with it, I would guess that if any countries have, they would have, but still I wouldn't expect it.

there are some really insane evil people that live on the subways and it makes commuting really dangerous and unpleasant for the normal people who have to get to work.

last week a homeless black guy walked into the car i was in, started screaming and flailing his hands, had his pants at his ankles and sat down on the train car seat bare ass. then when the train stopped he walks over to the door and just begins pissing out the door in front of everyone.

the train cars smell so bad somtimes. most of these people just shit themselves and lay in their own piss and shit. it's an abomination. the ny subway system is so disgusting sometimes.

a few weeks ago there was a drunk homeless hatian guy sitting at the end of train car and just rambling and threatening people. these two young chinese boys (harmless nerdy types)get on the train and this guy starts screaming at them and threatening to cut them with a knife. people like this certainly do need to removed from society. they belong in jail or in a mental hospital, not on the train.

i carry a switchblade and i would carry a handgun but the penalties for carrying in NYC are way too severe if you get caught, and there are TSA agents and police check points at most major stations.

i really hate having to ride the subway or even live in NY, but there are no jobs that pay enough to survive anywhere where else, in my field of work.

most of these homeless mental cases on the subway are on heroin, are hiv positive or dying of aids, and they do not have any problem attacking normal people who are just trying to earn a living and commute to work.

i'm glad that they are finally taking steps to get these people off the street.

this has nothing to do with thought criminals. these homeless people that live on the trains are seriously some of the most fucked people on the face of the earth.

When a person is in psychosis, they are unable to function in a normal manner, mate. What you are describing is not psychosis. There are a lot of different mental illnesses. A person who is in psychosis cannot 'get away with appearing normal'. lol at that.

I think the problem lies in the past behavior of Bloomberg...he's just not happy with stopping at what's good for all. He wants the goods from all.

He has a record of pushing his twisted agenda. He will not stop at those who, we all know, should truly need to be gotten off the street. He will use a fishing net when he should only use a butterfly net.

Since they have already declared most of as "mentally unstable" and potential terrorists, this could be the first step toward locking up anyone that doesn't support their agenda. Support the 2nd amendment, it might be all that keeps them from locking you up!
