Anonymous Coward User ID: 21563419 United States 02/19/2013 08:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | “The Morrisons are confident that a full review of this matter will show that the allegations have been greatly exaggerated,” the statement said. “While this matter is being addressed, Rob and Ashley hope that their family’s privacy will be respected.” Hate to be so cynical, but when was the last time the media was respectful of anyone else's privacy? I bet, though, out of 'professional courtesy' the hounds won't be sticking cameras and mics in their faces, or camping outside of their house. Sweep it under the rug, why don't we. |

Would we view her husband's actions any differently? Regardless of beauty domestic violence is domestic violence it hurts less than attractive women and attractive women the same. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1776219 No if she was ugly he would have used a stick! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1776219 Because who cares about ugly people (total sarcasm). Beauty is all that matters in our culture these days. A woman is shit unless she is skinny as a rail or proportioned like something from a booties and titties magazine. A man is shit unless he has $$$ and drives some fancy car. We live in a brutal, frivolous, sick and demented world that we call "civilization." A manifestation of macro human nature going from hitting one another with sticks to steal meat from a cave neighbor, to one upping them with deluded fantasies of living like the vacuous fucks seen on reality TV. Some go into debt doing it. No wonder no one from "out there" wants to visit us. |

Men have been choking women for thousands of years but in our society, which is media driven, when a TV personality does it, it's big news. No one wants to read about a woman who works as a secretary, or a dishwasher in a restaurant being beaten by her boyfriend, but touch her with a magic wand and make her a movie star and everyone wants to read about it. I think it's a great lesson though, which shows that "celebrities" are really not much different from the rest of us in how they live their lives. |

Mr. Weird (OP) User ID: 28995214 United States 02/19/2013 10:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Because many people compare their own lives to the sometimes phoney lives of celebrities, and say to their husbands, "Ned, I'm outta here. You are nothing like John Doe on TV, who is gorgeous and lives a REAL life". She doesn't know that John Doe on TV is not only choking his wife but chains her to the radiator when he goes out because she is so beautiful that she'll be hopping into bed with every other guy she meets who goes after her. |
