Janus198 User ID: 875736 United States 02/20/2013 05:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wonder how much difference it would make... During my time sharing offices with state and federal Fish, Game, and Wildlife employees, work seemed to be a diversion done by the lowest ranking members whenever people got tired of taking a coffee break. Quoting: Little Bee If all those govt employees worked for a lean corporation, they'd find a way to get rid of most of them anyway, IMHO. The layoffs will affect workers at the Pentagon who are directly repsonsible as support staff for active military engagements overseas. It is tantamount to cutting supply lines for your own military and is an action that can be classified as treason, yet again, by Barackie. The only type of person who orders military action without permission from Congress, then cuts supply lines to that deployed military is a fucking mole, an enemy of the state, military, American people, and Constitution. How many times does America have to be whacked over the head with a veritible 2x4, by Obama, lowest, nastiest, type of thug possible, before the American people stop pandering to homosexuals and movie stars and take action to relieve him of his position? They do nothing but carry out orders to murder this one or that one, on Obama's kill list, which includes American civilians who happen to annoy the fucker, like Brietbart, like comedian Steve Bridges, or the deal done in Sandy Hook. After that, cut any alphabet agency that is operating against the Constitution. TSA, NSA, DHS, HEW, IRS, including those that are sucking money in order to facilitate the destruction of America, like those blocking deportation of illegals. Cut all federal money to states that are enacting anti Constitution legislation. Like Illinois and California. Florida, New York, and Nevada, main offenders. How the fuck else are you going to cut your disasterous spending habit? Move 800,000 highly skilled individuals into the private workforce and let them start small businesses. Swallow the medicine now and feel much better down the road. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1029401 United States 02/20/2013 05:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You idiots realize that by laying off these individuals it will cause a ripple effect by a factor of several times over as it relates to the PRIVATE sector? The velocity of money will slow, money in the system will slow down, this will create even MORE unemployment as subcontractors, and even regular businesses go out of business due to contracts being broken and or individuals having less income to spend on simple things such as coffee, movies, dinner, etc. This is not a good thing. It will massively increase unemployment. The REAL bad thing is that even when the sequestration is lifted it may have done PERMANENT damage to existing businesses that will NOT come back... it is NOT easy to open up and successfully run a business... |

Start cutting WELFARE and other subsidies. If you look at the amount of money being spent in the budget it is NOT govt employees or cnotractors, it is entitlements! Social Security, Medicare, welfare, etc. SS and medicare should be cut. I'm sorry but the amount of money that the vast majority put into SS or medicare over their lifetime does not equate to what they receive out, which can be a factor of 10 or greater. Its a net loss. |

Attach a spending cut to all Executive Branch and Congressional Salaries...they'll run over you to get to the bargaining table to hash out a compromise then... Let me help you all understand what this will do. 2000$ per month is lost. What would you do with/without that extra money? Nuff said Quoting: FlashMob OK stupid, first your father is retired and gets a check from the government already. Second, the furlough is only one day a week, which nobody on here seems to have mentioned. Why should I give a fuck about your father who already has a retirement check in the mail? What? Now he can't buy that RV or get a new fishing boat? What about the thousands of fucking dollars that come out of my family's income every year supporting millions of government employees? Maybe I need that fucking money since I fucking earned it. And should my kids get stuck paying the bill (with interest) so your dad can double dip off tax money and public fucking debt? |

Nuff said Quoting: FlashMob Many of us have had that happen and have had to really budget and tighten belts. It is very surprising how little a person can live on and still keep a roof over their head, clothes on their back and food on the table. People need to think of necessities instead of wants in these difficult economic times. |

Things expand and things contract and then back again. We are in a contraction phase. The only thing to do is be flexible and roll with it because there is nothing else to do. We have simplified out lives in my family and we are actually enjoying it. Was very hard in the beginning but it has turned out to be a good thing for us. |

We all know what the majority receiving welfare are like and if they don't get their welfare they will start looting and worse. |

You realize that supporting a society that is not returning the favor is completely unsustainable correct? Everyone must contribute something. The more you contribute, the better your reward...this is logic. I get the bleeding heart agenda...I really do. "Oh that poor girl...she got knocked up by no fault of hers (except for taking the panties off) and now she is straddled with a kid that the father doesn't pay for..." I'm sorry...I didn't take her panties off and I didn't shoot the wad...it is not my fault or my responsibility. Perhaps once we return to a society of having to face the consequences of your actions...this won't happen as much...had that girl kept her panties on...that is one mouth that "we the people" aren't expected to feed... Maybe it is education...we teach the kids "you get knocked up, you are on your own"...instead of teaching them that we will all pay for your mistakes. It's bullshit. I remember when I was a kid you were taught "If you knock a girl up, you will marry her and get a job"...they don't teach that anymore...sad...cause when I was young...we knew you better make sure you had a condom or birth control of some kind....now...they just don't care. "I'm pregnant so now I get a check"....stupid. The bleeding hearts managed to break an absolute truth of humanity....spare the rod and spoil the child. If a punk has no fear of repercussion...they will do anything. Fear of repercussion starts early...you bust that ass when they do wrong and the next time...they will think..."hmm...last time I did something like this, I got my ass blistered and that was bad"...and maybe they don't do it...today...there is no reason not to be a monster...oh..well...except for the state...the wonderful...all powerful state...you idiots just do not get it..."Long live the state!"...morons... |
