Jackie Gleason produced a series of albums that were the perfect background music for romance.

Perfect.

And yes, that Gleason... Honeymooners, movies...

I liked the sounds when I was a kid back then when he first started with the series in the '50s.
And appreciate and enjoy the sounds even more as an old fart.

Some things are Timeless.
That series of albums qualifies.

I wish I would have been raised during the 50's and 60's but that is just romanticism.

I listening to some of these it makes me feel like there has been a lot of love sucked out of the world since the 70's etc. Rarely do we seem to get a good, heartfelt, soulful, emotional new song on the radio or just being popular anymore. What happened?

Agustin Lara.

A Mexican composer.

Many of his compositions are so romantic.
So sentimental.
Some are so very wistful and really tug at your heart.

Beautiful.

Things were never perfect.

But.
I consider fortunate to have lived, experienced then.

The musics (across the spectrum) were truly wonderful.
