A 2nd sinkhole? The state is taking a closer look at what residents say are bubbles in Lake Peigneur in Iberia Parish. The departments of Natural Resources and Environmental Quality took samples from Lake Peignuer today to find out what is causing the bubbles. Last night, public officials, residents and other groups spoke out against AGL Resources, which wants to expand natural gas storage below salt caverns under the lake. Residents fear it could be another disaster waiting to happen–like the current sinkhole in Assumption Parish. I'd of hated to be on the highway US89 (Arizona) when that happened; can you imagine drive on there at night you'd just drive right off; fuck your vehicle up really well and perhaps yourself

about time we tackled this subject. the core has changed shape, and is now wider and narrower, in a typical geoid shape, at around 90 degrees to where the bulging equator and flattened poles are right now.

the planet HAS to adapt to these changes.

the crust is far colder, harder and brittle than the mantle, and will take time to collapse/expand to the new shape the planet will adapt when it DOES physically shift poles.
