LOL, look at all the sinkholes in "cave country" Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee were the cave systems I was involved with mapping, there's a whole underground world that most people don't know anything about...

As they continue to ingore the depletion of the aquafers, pulling water out at an ever increasing rate I believe the formation of sinkholes, as common as it is in Florida, will accelerate.

Oh wow...I have relatives in that town and was thinking of buying a condo or house there. Not now.

I think that people are just getting freaked over the sinkhole loss of life. This is a Palm Harbor report, which is a nice area. I don't think this lady would have a sinkhole living right on the water. The article suggests that it is possibly something else.

Good idea to buy some property on the Florida/Georgia line and then have valuable beachfront property one day (I said this a couple of decades ago for some reason.)

II. Data and Findings

An electronic data call was prepared in 2010 to examine closed sinkhole claims in Florida. The results of the 2010 data call indicated that the problem of sinkholes in Florida had increased in both frequency and total cost during the period examined (2006-2010). Specifically, the results showed: (1) an increase in the occurrence and costs of sinkhole claims; and (2) that there is an increase in reported sinkholes in the parts of South Florida where sinkholes traditionally have not been an issue.

There is lots of gas from all the crappy people! Seriously, I have been in many areas such as but not limited to Thrift Stores, Grocery Stores, Health Food Stores, and so on where people are intentionally crop-dusting others out of malice.

The Movie "Waiting" has extras on the dvd watch them and one may come to the conclusion as to where the idea for the movie came from. Then decide if YOU want to eat in ...........

Next, watch the movie. Then watch the movie "Still Waiting" and you'll see what is meant by crop-dusting to the point you can almost taste it. Yuck, sick bastards! Oh, and I have slaved in many Florida restaurants. I can tell you the mentality is accurate yet water-downed. It is far worst than one can show on film as it is not funny. It MAYBE battery with bodily waste and more. I did not participate in that; You should be able to feel my disgust within my word usage.

Mr. predicter though, predicts when there are already plenty of incidents published on sites happening like in Peru and Michigan earth shifts as well as sinkhole phenomenon. So as usual I'm not impressed. Most of us can read too but we don't claim info as our own especially when news is already known.

That many claims are alarming in just four years of records.

For the sake of perspective, I wonder if they've been increasing in frequency compared to 1954 though.
That would tell us a lot of what we REALLY need to know.
