Are you saying that Poland is directly affected by what is happening in the Cyprus banks? I am not sure I understand what your meaning is.

If this theft directly out of Cypriot bank accounts stands, it will have unintended (or maybe intended)consequences not only in Europe but also worldwide.

The world economy is already very shaky. If people lose confidence in the banks and withdraw their deposited funds, watch out! The whole world economy could crash.

he meant that at least 5 thousand companies that are registered in Cyprus has actually a Polish background, they operate their daily business in Poland, but the profits go to Cyprus bank accounts (usual tax haven stuff), so they take all the profits out from Poland, to avoid taxation there, and that money ends up in these Cypriot banks. and it's not just the case for Poland, same can be told about many other EU countries. this is how the wealth of these countries were slowly taken out of the inner market...

Good, world does not need an economy, what we need is that people do their things without getting payment your payment is that you can have a house with no cost electricity with no cost food with no cost, everyone just must add to the world community. that's how it should be,why money, money is just to keep us slaves, it should be that people do their things so others can benefit from it and vice versa, for example a doctor treats patients his service is unpaid but all these people do also work and they also contribute to the world community, and like this we don't need an economy.

All extras well for that you can get some credits or so but all basic things will be FREE, all you do is pay with your service that you provide to the world, that's all and its soo simple. look like star trek same thing no world economy people work to improof our race to improof the community.

Many people in this thread do not understand the basics.

Things as they stand are like this.

1. No money or political willingness to pay for another Cyprus bailout in full, without concessions (esp. because this would set a dangerous precedent to Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland & the motherload of all, Spain and France).

2. So, if Cyprus government + banking system (their fates are interlinked) don't get money, both become illiquid and insolvent (look them up).

3. If this happens, there is no other possibility but to break away from euro, go to new-Cyprus-pound and devalue. This devalue would be in the order or 40% to 50% AND WOULD TAKE IN EFFECT IMMEDIATELY TO ALL SAVINGS.

So, it's either that (40% to 50% wipeout) or 7-10% tax.

Politicians took the short fall and tried to postpone the inevitable. This solves nothing though and does set an interesting game-theoretical dilemma for the savers of Portugal, Ireland, Spain and perhaps in due time for savers of Italy and France, the banking system of the latter, being totally insolvent as I type this.

So, it's more kicking the can down the road.

2) North of island: Rep. Turkish of Cyprus - currency: Cyprus Lira (sovereign couurency)

Very few things give me nightmares… Yesterday’s event in Cyprus was one of them and the media is conspicuously silent. What do you get when you combine worldwide Marxist elitists, bankers and the media? A worldwide depression and a new dark age. The IMF is using Cyprus as a proving ground for the rest of us. It is a fascist Petri dish. They just implemented an across the board tax on all bank accounts over a holiday with no warning and no recourse. 9.9% if you have over 100,000 Euros in the bank, 6.75% is you have less than that. This is money being seized by the IMF, the European Union and the government of Greece to attempt to cover some of their debt. It is theft and it could have been a lot worse.

The scariest thing is the precedent this has set. Does anyone seriously believe that, now they have done this to Cyprus, they will not do it each and every time more intervention is needed in other countries? And that each time the percentages stolen will increase?

Enough is enough; it is time for civil war. The governments across Europe have been shown to be crooks and no longer hold any validity or mandate. All Europeans need to arm themselves, take to the streets, and depose the governments of all parties.

I just pray to god that the majority of Europe's police and armed forces see the light and side with the people. There IS going to be a bloodbath; lets just hope it is quick and not as bad as it may be.
