Well not really because I do believe in borders and nations so I would need some form of state. But certainly nothing like the kind we have today.

Well then, there's nothing to stop the rich from stealing from the poor when they have the resources to do so and no heart.

Guess the poor just need to gain control of new resources to turn the tide. Like expecting capsized sailors to build their own lifeboat in the middle of the ocean meanwhile the lucky one paddles away in the only lifeboat

If the number of sailors in the water was greater than the capacity of the lifeboat, then it makes sense to be selfish otherwise you will all perish when the lifeboat sinks, but otherwise it's just cruel.

Well unfortunately there's nothing to stop the rich from gaining control either by trying to implement socialized systems of help, and it has been proven very well in our own times. Listen here, throughout history the most pervasively evil thing that has afflicted mankind has not been rich people, but powerful people in governments. Now the rich can be countered more easily by the poor if these join forces than governments can be. In a world where we only had to worry about capitalists, at least we would stand a chance, but against governments having power you stand no chance whatsoever, they will corrupt most and kill off the rest.

So parting from the base argument that we're mostly screwed either way, I chose to support the least pervasive evil. In a free market system, with no governments able to bail out corporations with public funds, the rich would have it much harder to attain that kind of control you speak about. I tell you, the evil rich people that dominate the world nowadays have been able to do so by taking over governments which were already too powerful because they presented themselves as saviors for the gullible masses.

It seems the actual problem isn't capitalism or socialism
But how to prevent either from falling into extremes

Of course that's the problem, but then a system can't be expected to fix the problem inherently, because the problem can't be actually fixed in my opinion, but it should strive to MINIMIZE its worse effects having in mind that perfection will never be attained.

Yeah I know how socialism ends, and I agree that a tyrannical government is a much bigger problem for everyone than rich individuals/corporations, but I would argue that even those rich individuals/corporations could eventually band together to form a government to exploit others, they have the resources to do so. Corporations today even have their own private security forces(mini armies).

There has to be a way to safely combine the two economic philosophies where people are still rewarded for their work and aren't taxed into oblivion, the poor are given a chance and cannot have a free ride, and a government that knows its boundaries and doesn't exceed them.

But I guess that requires a better kind of human than the kind we have right now, how do we produce this human if we nurture predatory or parasitic tendencies.

Umm, no. Otherwise someone from one of those countries would have done what Gates did. But they didn't because it's too damn hard to create a new business over there...much like the US has now become.

I work for a company that made a hundred million dollars last year. They were very happy about this. So happy ... they gave us all chocolate bars to thank us. Grown men getting candy bars for the company making one hundred million dollars.
