Why are red states the shittiest places to live?

Thought your purportedly free market initiatives and "hands off" governing would cause businesses to flourish and life to be so, so sweet.

Instead, they are the fattest, unhappiest, poorest, least educated, most violent...I could go on.

If everyone in the blue states are on the dole, like many of you claim, why is it that they are more educated, fit, wealthy, etc.

I think everything is a balance. I agree with many of you about 2nd amendment - don't take the guns, even though I have none. I support your rights 100%.

I believe federal gov is way too big in a lot of areas - including defense. Let's stop with the global hegemony crap.

Detroit's problems are due to the fact that American car manufacturers made crappy products for decades. Most progressive cities are actually quite nice places to live, if one isn't a retarded antisocial redneck Republican.
