Laboratory chimps caged for 30 years get released and see the sky fot the first time | |

You cannot simply release a highly intellectual animal like a chimp in to the wild because unfortunately the chimp has been disconnected from it's base instincts and would likely not survive. By comparison, that same argument can be made of the present class of people who seek to have a government provide all for them. Most would be scared to venture out in to that yard just like the chimps but eventually we want both the government zombies and the chimps to be free and to live outside that cage. |

Watching that video, especially when the chimps were apprehensive about exiting their "cage," pensively peering out into the "unknown," I was reminded of Plato's "The Allegory of the Cave." 2. Again, another example where I wish there was not a music backing track, designed to invoke an emotional response. If you have never been aware of this, notice it from now on in videos you watch on youtube. If you still have one or more feet firmly planted inside the matrix and you still watch television programming, listen for it and notice it when you watch shows and commercials- Music is added as a backing track to coerce you into feeling a certain way. It is not honest, and it is an example of someone else programming your mind- literally, causing you to feel certain emotions you may or may not have come to feel genuinely on your own...Which begs the question, "If I would have felt those feelings anyway, without the backing music track, then why was it necessarily included?" 3. What type of paradigm-shattering moments have I experienced in my lifetime? What further paradigm-shifts, and monumental changes in perception of reality further await me?* *What terms exist for such an idea- that of a "dramatic, life-altering shift in consciousness," a "monumental paradigm change," etc.? Please do share, what terms or word(s) would you use to describe the experience those chimpanzees had in the video? great fucking points dude! great fucking avatar also. not only because its mr eastwood, but we share the same first name.....lol go points !! awesome.. I just saw that slump in their shoulders towards the end when they looked around and realised it was just another box. Can you imagine years of seeking freedom, only to escape and find yourself in yet another cage? That shoulder slump just hit me at soul level. |

A river, or human territory, dense plantation, other chimp tribes... |

Because you need a minimum space to be able to perceive freedom. I made the distinction between a small cage and an area where you can run, play and meet. . |

That sounds like human rights legislation that requires that prisoners be allowed an hour in the yard each day. It's not living. |

I especially like the foliage painted on the concrete walls, nice touch. So symbolic of our lives. For them it's just temporary... a mid stage For most people it's their actual their whole life hanging in that interim state. TPB = Status Quo = Forced mass mediocrity |

The last one is better than the first, but the first is definately better than camping in the kitchen. |

I think they would die if released right away. We shouldn't be doing this at all. These are not our's to do experiments on. Makes you wonder what we are and who the people are that push this and think it's OK. They still experiment on us as well. Look at the sky sometime. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9176733 This reminded me of those people since I knew one personally that lived in a single room like a cage for years before dieing just so someone else could take what was his. Sad world we live in. But I do wonder why they wasnt allowed outside daily for a bit of time. Reminds me of Charles Manson. I agree being in a completely natural undisturbed area is ideal, but this is a huge step. And frankly, after so much time spent cooped up and poked and prodded, it's probably about as much freedom as most can handle atm. I love these vids, gives me hope! Wonder if any of their relatives out in the wild are still alive yet? I know of at least one. mhmmmmm |
