Tomorrow will be painful though. The withdrawal and also the gluten from whatever food you were eating probably is messing up your system more. What steps have you taken to fix this issue? I got some issues as well I am attempting to fix. Sorry you have to go through this shit. |

No, I'm not a fatty who couldn't keep the fork out of his mouth. I didn't get it until I was 35 and it hit me out of nowhere. Enjoy not having to count carbs or wonder if a stroke or heart attack is gonna cut you down without warning. I pray none of you know what it's like to have blood sugar so low you're drenched in sweat and gasping for breath, or feet that feel like a pincushion. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4259718 I'm halfway thru a bottle of whiskey tonight, ate a steak fried in garlic butter and had a huge pile of onion rings. In case you're wondering, at this very moment I simply don't give a shit. I would take as much pain and misery as humanly possible if it somehow spared a little one from a life like this. my payers are with you................ |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 20921192 United Kingdom 03/24/2013 05:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Is it type 2 diabetes? I was reading about a low calorie (600 cals per day) 2 month diet that has supposedly cured some people. You may know about it already, if not it's worth checking out. Just google "diet cure for type 2 diabetes". |
beeches User ID: 28167778 United States 03/24/2013 05:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Diabetes is awful. My mom got it and had to test several times a day. She is elderly and was not really compliant. Well, it turns out She never had diabetes at all. Her liver and pancreas were damaged by a drug she was on. Drug was stopped. OP, if you take any statins or other drugs that might raise or lower your blood sugar, ask your doctor to re-check things. I have low blood sugar at times and it sucks. My mom (and this should have been a tip-off she really didn't have diabetes) said she had never experienced low blood sugar. I am not diabetic yet, but I wonder. Whiskey, scotch okay to drink. Almost no sugar. Good luck. Literally, keep us posted. It is an awful disease. Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1342725 I saw an always sunny episode where he was getting a rush off of shooting up insolin after eating like a king. Is this true? no. I know it's gonna kill me one day, I've come to accept it. When I take my shots I pray it hurts like hell if it means a little one with type one doesn't feel theirs. I can't imagine the hell parents with a kid who needs to be stuck three times a day must go thru. So much guilt and anguish. |

The OP sees himself as someone with diabetes and if that were to end he would feel like he lost a peice of himself. I expect to be attacked for saying these things. You really shouldn't bother because I'm well aware that its just the disease trying to defend itself. |

Eat only fresh fruit, veges, legumes and water, juicing. Diabetes will dissapear. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36758356 That may work for some people but what about people who struggle being underweight? I have to eat LOTS of carbs just to gain a measly pound . People who get sick do so because of psychological reasons. For most it's the only way for them to feel like they are important or loved. I have no reason to lie to about my condition either. Believe what you want, all I know is I hope you never have to go thru it. You really think honey and cinnamon will solve everything? If it were only so easy. There is no universal fix for this disease, and at present the treatment is way more profitable than a cure, just like cancer which I'm sure is also in my future. |

Oh, please what a bunch of whining bullshit. Deal with it. I've had it for 20 years and never wined about it to anyone. You might make your misery a little better by upgrading to new technology.....Getting an insulin pump and real-time glucose sensor. Eliminates taking shots and only requires checking your blood sugar for calibrating the sensor. Hey, sucks, but if you check your A1C every 3 months and keep it under 7.0 you are statistically fine. |
