Obviously USA soil would be the worst, but at this point in the game a new war of any magnitude, anywhere on the planet, would be catastrophic to our already depleted military. I have a buddy who is a mechanic in the marines and he was telling me a head gasket was blown on a MRAP and instead of spending $30 on a gasket and changing it they where told to pulled the engine out and put a new $150,000 in it. What your buddy didn't tell you is that field mechanics cannot do any in-depth repairs of defective engines other than change air filters and the like. They just ship the engine back to overhaul and pop in another rebuilt engine. That's SOP. Navy does the same thing except when on an aircraft carrier. Only then do they make repairs on jet engines, landing gear, etc. because they can't just pack the defective parts up and ship them to the overhauler. |

As a Naval Aviator, Amos commanded the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and 2004. He served as the 31st Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps from July 3, 2008 to October 22, 2010. Amos assumed his current assignment on October 22, 2010. In his YouTube video, General Amos warns about a “different landscape” and encourages people to think smarter. The General also encourages Marines to, “Save every round, every gallon of gas.” This comes during a time when the DHS has stockpiled over 2 billion rounds of ammunition, purchased nearly 3000 tanks and refuses to answer questions about why they are doing it. This comes on the heels after Captain Terry M. Hostile United States Army, Retired, urged citizens to write to Senators demanding action against the DHS. In a recent interview with Rep. Huelskamp at CPAC, he had expressed concerns to DHS over the purchase but received no response. “They have no answer for that question. They refuse to answer to answer that,” Huelskamp said on the video of the purchases. His office told Whispers that he had sent a letter to DHS with his concerns but had not heard back. [link to www.youtube.com] DHS has not stocked 2 billion rounds. The contract is for 1.6 billion and it is a 5 year contract. How much have they taken delivery of as of today? You are the one making the thread. Are you interested in truth or just spreading disinfo? And DHS is not getting tanks. They are armored and wheeled trucks. There are 2700 of them. Am I the shill for asking for a truhtful answer? Or are you just another dumb hick who cannot tell the difference between a truck and a tank and does not know how to read a contract? |

Is it because their leaders said they couldn't? That's fucking stupid. Aircraft and vehicle engines are 2 completely different things. Jet engines turn tens if not hundreds of thousands of rpm's. Diesel and Gas engines in the military operate under 7000 rpm's. Therefore aircraft engines need more precision work, but if they are mechanics on gas and diesel vehicles and they cannot preform a simple task like changing a gasket then that's a problem. The military BS bureaucracy is totally wasteful and needs to be revised.
