Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15189853 It is simple. 85 Billion dollars a month, goes from the FED (US the taxpayer - with interest i might add) straight to the bank, who does not lend the money or stimulate anything in the economy. The take that money and dump it right back into the market, keeping it afloat, while OLD MONEY, which always wins. Quietly and Strategically cashes out. With you left holding the bag. |

Very little wealth produced in the USA trickles down the the common man. This is brutal class warfare. The middle class was destroyed and the rich are tricking them into blaming the poor while they continue to rape and pillage. disaster capitolism. bubbles in the economy. banks corporations and governments are all a blight on this world. A cancer which is killing our species for profit. |

Now you read all the stuff happening with banks and how it may spread to other European countries. What are you going to do with your money? Obviously, invest it in the US Stock Market, because it is the safest place on the planet at the moment. Another thing to consider. Think about how many people in this country have company matched 401k plans. That money is deposited in the market every Friday - regardless of how the market is doing. It is a strategy that buys fewer stocks when price is high, and more stocks when price is low. If you are an investor, you are very familiar with this strategy. Every week, working Americans automatically have a chunk dumped into their 401k which is invested in the market. This isn't a decision that is made every week - it is done automatically. The market is set up to grow automatically, not because the companies are earning more, but because people are investing continuously which drives up stock prices. Once it is safe to invest in Europe again, our market will take a hit. OP hope this makes sense... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15189853 It's simple. Fed props it up with fiat currency. The privately owned Federal Reserve bank is printing paper money, not backed by anything so it inflates our dollar while they use it to prop up the stock market with fiat currency, then they get SHEEPLE to invest, then they pull the plug on industries they control, and make people lose their money while they gain REAL wealth, while it was their FALSE wealth that people were fooled to believe they really had. (wealth in a company or product they believed in) |

The fact that 50% of the country lives in poverty is irrelevant according to financial gurus. The economy is good if the capitalists are making money. If 90% of poeple starve but 10% get richer all is well according to financial wizards. Its what they learnt at college. Its what the TV tells you. Its what you believe. It doesnt matter that you want the economy to be tested according to how well the epople are doing, finance is not about you, its about them. Get it? Ibrahim |

Why? Lay off people and threaten/scare the crap out of the other employees. The remaining employees will do a bunch more work now and more widgets get made using fewer people. This results in record high profits. Continue this practice while threatening to move the jobs over seas and see wages lower too! It's a win/win (for the corporation and the shareholders). |

The key to all this is 12 USC 411, which declares that Federal Reserve notes shall be redeemed in lawful money at any Federal Reserve bank. Lawful money is defined as all the coins, notes, bills, bonds and securities of the United States: 'Julliard v. Greenman' 110 U.S. 421, 448 (1884); whereas public money is the lawful money declared by Congress as a legal tender for debts (31 USC 5103); 524 F.2d 629 (1974). Anyone can present Federal Reserve notes to any Federal Reserve bank and demand redemption in public money -- i.e., legal tender United States notes and coins. A Federal Reserve note is a fixed obligation or evidence of indebtedness which pledges redemption (12 USC 411) in public money to the note holder. The Fed maintains a ready supply of United States notes in hundred dollar denominations for redemption purposes should it be required, and coins are available to satisfy claims for smaller amounts. However, should the general public decide to redeem large amounts of private credit for public money, a financial melt-down within the Fed would quickly occur.
