Honestly that was likely the worst part of it all, and no doubt one of the things his leadership will really nail him on.

The whole thing was quite pathetic, but that was sinking pretty low.

The damage to the vehicle can be repaired, etc. but those were some pretty terrible things he said.

If he was my Marine, I'd find a way to bring him down a notch, and he'd be apologizing to the young lady for a very, very long time.

I promise you, there towards the end of the video, he was already kicking himself for acting like an idiot...when he stood back, and thought about what he was doing, he realized that he had screwed up...and I would bet anything that he wished he could take it back and rewind time. Bullshit. You can't be infantry without a guarantee. You don't get a guarantee without being highly qualified. Only the most qualified are allowed to be 03. At any given time, probably close to 30% of my platoons had college degrees, or at least some college. All had HS diplomas. I'm not saying we were a bunch of "rocket surgeons", but damnit...we had some folks with high IQs.

Edit: Picture me grinning while saying the above...I'm not trying to argue with you here because it would just be stupid.

Have I been to war zones? Yes, many. My entire career has been spent in one branch of the service or another. Enough said. I find this behaviour intolerable, unwarranted, and disrespectful.

His punishment is for the judge to figure out. I hope he learns a lesson.

Edit: Who am I kidding, I've done stupid shit too. Maybe this guy will find the help he needs before somebody really gets hurt.

People make choices on what they see and hear. There is a whole lot of advertising for the military. Much more extensive programming is done after enlistment. Not all can handle it the same. They can also be deprogrammed.

only a very sheltered person would say that. When you go over, sometimes you just end up back there. If you don't understand it, button up like this guy. Alot of returning vets are still only in their mid 20s trying to find the balance, sometimes a little helplessly. ceroquil. Google it.
