Doing a launch of a USA space probe launch up in the artic circle, back in the 80s, the USSR was about 5 seconds from launching a full scale nuclear attack on the USA.. because they did not know what the USA had launched,.

Of course this all is conviently forgotten about in such hype as we have going on since N.K.'s first satellite attempt and then its first successful launch(the launch and obriting was successful, the orbital oreintation of the space craft messed up.. something that has happened countless times for the USA's, Russia's (USSR, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian space programs.. and the ESA's.

Not really..NK makes threats every week, he'd have to address the nation every time if we actually took NK seriously.

Actually, they do have oil and just to have a united democratic Korea with a strong US presence is worth every dime in term of China and what they want. That is simply the last thing they need.
