Here's a hint that leads to some understanding: When you hear people say "in the day of the harvest", what specific day are they talking about? Or when people say something like "I remember back in the day, things were so much better", again, which 24 hour day was being spoken of? The creative "days" were not literal 24 hour days. The Bible uses tons of word pictures... it's part of what makes it alive. :P Evening and morning were used to describe the creation week. Evening being night (apprx.12 hours) and morning means the Day light hours. The reason for the fourth commandment was to make that thought clear. Why did God make the literal 24 hour Sabbath? Why did he institute it at Eden at the end of creation week? Why did he connect the Sabbath directly to creation when the Ten Commandments were inscribed by the very finger of God himself? Of course dino's probably been around long before us. But God doesn't add that story to the bag because it is irrelevant to human kind. What do the dino's have to do with us? But he left us some clues to do archaeological research if needed or interested. Yes Christians many times accept many aspects of God, their has been proof of an existence so I support the possible truth. |
