Can God Die?
I'm curious as to what people have to say. Completely hypothetical.
Personally, if he does exist, there lies a paradox.

GOD died once on the cross, HE arose the third day, HE is ALIVE and will never die.

If you break my wings, I will just find a cloud and learn to fly again. The Lord will catch you when you fall or teach you to fly! May the footprints I leave lead you to BELIEVE.

Re: Can God Die?
The "God" that created the universe and split light from darkness? No, that is a spiritual entity that exists in us all, and there can never be death of spirit.

The "Gods" that created humans? Yes, although they do not age they can still die from accidents (like the war that ended the last human generation between the continents of India and Atlantis)

Assuming that He could, which I doubt being that he is eternal, but if He did - everything in existence would cease to exist.

What you believe to be a paradox may just be something you do not understand. Just because you do not understand something or it doesn't seem logical in your mind doesn't mean it isn't true or doesn't exist.

If you put the top 100 Theologians in a rooms with the top 100 Scientist in the world and locked them in for one year, they would never come close to figuring out the true nature of God. It's beyond us. And anyone who believes themselves big enough to approach the subject of the nature of God is living a hubris.

God is not a creation. He is the ever existent one.
He was in existence, forever before time began, and will exist forever, after time ceases.
Our frame of reference is Time and its passage, he is " timeless".

Re: Can God Die?
For the record, it's more of about the Christian God. And for those saying he can't then that just something he can't do even though he supposedly can do anything. I'm not very religious, not that I haven't been before, and I was wondering what a person who follows the Christian religion would say to answer such a question. It is completely theoretical.

NO, the Universal Father is pure spirit and He does not die but lives on the Paradise Isle with the Creative Mother where they eagerly await their reunion with all their children from all worlds not just this one.

Re: Can God Die?
You guys seriously believe in God? Believe me, I'd want to believe but so far, "God" has never helped me through tough times. I don't believe that an actual God would let his "children" go through such pain at a young age. I just want proof, and so far, all I'm getting is that he doesn't exist, and if by any chance he does, he must just hate me.

I agree. I don't really believe in God but I do believe its possible, not likely, but possible. That's why wanted to know what people thought. Could the almighty God actually die forever and if not, why? Is there something that he isn't able to do? If so, he isn't all powerful.

Re: Can God Die?
No God can not die but the body of flesh God indwells can die.

Flesh is to perish its perishable existence away or be done away with.

It is not eternal in its state of matter.
It can not enter the eternal realm to abide/remain as estate while in flesh.

I can be sitting here typing spirit indwelled in my flesh.

You can not see my ghost present standing by me or at all so long as my body has not entered death.

Yet once my body has expired manifestations of ghost/spirit may be seen for a flash in time...

The manifestations of God were before God became manifested in the flesh as Christ.

The manifestations that likewise followed the death of the body of flesh of Christ.....were witnessed.

The remarkable thing about the post death resurrected state was the ability of Christ to transcend through matter in a second of time and again return to tangible state.

He walked through walls and yet could be felt by touch sensation of others in the room he entered.
He could pass through solid matter as though it was not solid yet could be seen clearly as solid tangible being.

He could walk with others who knew what He looked like and with hold his recognition from their seeing.
Then open their sight to see Him for whom He really was before vanishing from sight all together.

We can accept that we as humans have soul and that soul is spirit in essence...
We can accept that humans can be possessed by other entities of spirit being evil or demonic.

Yet we can not seem to accept that we are possessed by indwelling of the very Spirit of God.

If you embraced Christ and that being He embraced you then He is in you.

If I do a thing to you or say a thing to you...I am not only heard and seen by you.

But by Christ who is in you...by God Himself.

I can not deny a thing I have done to any one at all ever..and there is no where I can go to not be seen by God or to escape Him.

He is in all of us...that is why we all are judged in our thoughts and actions...His life which is spirit livings in us so we can live with Him and relate to Him and He to us.

Even as we are unaware of Him does not mean He is unaware of us.

No He can not die but He can sure be speaking to you and you never know who spoke to you.......

He can do what so ever He pleases to do at any time what so ever.

He can put what ever He wants in your heart or mind and turn you to where ever He wants you to go....
For you good not for your harm.

For your betterment not for your worsening.

It is just to heavy a thought to be continually consciously aware of the fast God is unseen and always present.

Thank God He allows us to relax and not have that understanding be in every thought and between them.

We do have to attain to the flesh at some point in time or we would be filthy and neglectful of it.

We as the life that thinks and moves with in my own flesh can not die..

Only my flesh body perishes not my life there in it.

We are made and formed and fashioned created to be this way...for His own good pleasure to have a company fit for Him to company amongst and with.

We are not of lesser inanimate things or lesser animal creatures, not fouls not fish.

We are living souls...Spirit of Life Gods Life in us and conscience to acknowledge it.

Even interact and experience it the relationship of Life between man and His creator as like unto his own Father...our own Brother all things unto us.

He is more than able to give and to add to even take away..for the good of us all.

It is great He can not die it is great He is who He is and the way He is.

So when God "sent his only begotten son..." It was him? I understand that you believe Jesus was "God in the Flesh", but that's crazy. Lets say he did die, could he stay dead forever? Or is he unable? And couldn't God just snap his fingers and make everything alright and fix everything? Why doesn't he?

Yeah, "curse on man". Every animal and plant has the ability to die. It is not a curse, it's a cycle of life.
