Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14006371 Sucking money from each member state, and living like fucking kings in their palace. We need to start protesting in Brussels like in Turkey and Brasil! Or should the governments come with answers like the one in Brazil? I am curious if they keep their word. Erdogan most certainly does not believe his protesters are real, he does not want to hear their voice. Whatever happens, I hope it will be peaceful. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 42327907 Portugal 06/25/2013 06:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah going on for a long time. Best to get rid of this unelected body of corrupt politicians and lobyists, along with the demolition of that imitation Tower of Babel of theirs. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31381689 Changing the rules and pay them normal salaries would be a start. Get rid of any of the perpetrators and start over perhaps. And, if they don't perform, then they should gtfo. |

Time for an investigation so, and get rid of those who perpetrate, and of course claim back all money. They CLEARLY can not behave themselves. |

"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 42327907 Portugal 06/25/2013 08:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is not the assault that is important here. Although they could I guess. I guess the film crew should go to the police for it. For the two Parliamentarians it seemed quite normal behavior. Both acted like fools. If at all I would feel 'European' I would not want to have people like them representing me. Knowing that they are wasting so much money, and that in Spain 500 families get evicted monthly. In my opinion they should stop stealing. And give back what was claimed like this. The people who participated should be let go without further pay. All benefits should be taken off them instantly etc. Must be easy enough to check. They sign, and more than likely, add a time with the signature. Big question is, as with so many things, where the hell does one go to initiate anything like this, without organizing protests and be seen as terrorist? |

I understand that the simple assault is not the main issue. Obviously the fraud of claiming expenses not due is the main thing, but it is easier to charge a politician with a lesser crime like assault than it is with the theft they have been perpetrating their entire criminal careers. People expect their elected officials to be corrupt. Joe six pack doesn't like arrogant assholes shoving people around though. Makes a big difference in public pressure for action. Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 42327907 Portugal 06/25/2013 11:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Euro Parliamentarians Miloslav Ransdorf & Raffaele Baldassarre videotaped checking in at around six in the afternoon, at the European parliament, claiming 300 euro expenses for the day, and immediately leaving. Quoting: Kapooya! 42327907 No work done. Not needed either. They (Euro Parliamentarians) can simply sign their name to claim this 300 euro per day up, and they can do so until ten o clock in the evening. Every day. Another Euro Parliamentarian added that this kind of behavior happens often to very often, and many of the Euro Parliamentarians are happily participating. The European people are the paying participants in this. When confronted, Miloslav Ransdorf and Raffaele Baldassarre became very aggressive and assaulted the reporter in an effort to hide their acts. It all adds up to why there is such a thing as a crisis. Please note: In case anyone might think, I live elsewhere, not in the EU, I'd like to remind you that nothing like this is unique in its kind. If it happens in the EU, it may happen everywhere. (Not that the EU is such an example of excellence but, just in general.) |
