So I lost my job cause I was out of commission for a while. that was 3 months ago. Since then I've tried desperately to keep my head above water financially speaking. I've downgraded my living situation substantially and just was able to sell my car instead of just living off it and being screwed I want to put it toward a project that I could make money at. I'm already making diversion safes and selling them to a friend who is reselling them, that's helping but not much. I'm in Vocational Rehabilitation but it will take upwards of 6 months they said till I'm able to really use their resources to train for something new. I've got like 1000 bucks left and I've been racking my brain trying to find something I could do. Plz help me think of something you'd be helping me sooo much. after a thread about the goodwill reselling thing I'm looking into that right now but I don't know where to start. Don't know the pay, but when I was hurt last year these options were open to me. Too bad I was in so much pain I couldn't think straight, or even sit at a desk. I lost my business, but it was manual labor and I could no longer do that. Still can't. On a desk job now, and will probably stay there. Best of luck to you, friend. It's not what happens to you, but how you deal with it that makes you the person you are. | Anonymous Coward User ID: 42935780 United States07/25/2013 11:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | there is always telemarketing. a lot of that is from home these days, but even back in the day a lot of disabled people did it. one of the best telemarketers in town was a disabled guy (multiple very severe disabilities), but he had a quick mind and a good phone voice. so, these aren't people who will be judgy toward you. good luck. some people are good at telemarketing and some aren't. you won't know til you try. straight commission, cold call is the highest paying. but MAKE SURE the company is one that actually pays its employees. big call centers aren't the norm for these places.. maybe five or ten employees will be the norm. some jobs are kind of batch jobs. |
