That photo was from August 14th, but it's the same story tonight. At the time OP says he took his photo, at 5:22 UT, the moon should have been about 20 degrees above the horizon in the southwest, at 218.22 degrees azimuth with an apparent orientation of 25.64 degrees from vertical with the illuminated limb facing down towards the horizon as seen from the middle of Utah (39.5 N 111.5 W). What is the focal length of OP's camera, what is the field of view, and what therefore is the image scale in arcminutes per pixel? Oh you don't know? Then you're fucking stupid for automatically dismissing it as the moon and worse, you're completely close minded since you didn't even look at my examples.
