I also read a couple days ago that TEPCO was talking to US officials about how they encased the shit at Hanford.

You know, if the west had not spent trillions creating this problem during the 40 year cold war, and trillions chasing dudes in caves for the last 10 years, they probably could have made advances in the containment Fields used for fusion.

Theoretically, you could envelop these things in a sweep, locate the ongoing reactions, tighten the ball, and then throw it into space.

The worksite and the radioactive water is described as hot. That's what nuclear reactors do, they heat water. Under normal conditions it takes a million gallons of water a minute to keep the fuel rods cool.

So the idea of freezing the radioactive water is preposterous.

If anyone has the time this is a very interesting read on how they are decommissioning a Nuclear Plant in Britain and it will take 90 years! Then juxtapose this with the uncontrolled Fukushima and you see how screwed they/we are...
