No.

He did not show.

He explained in his reply to the Sadducees.

But Christians don't like explanations.

They like 'show and tell'.

Re: Jesus taught resurrection. What did he mean by it?
It means God had power over death and the grave. The resurrection of life happens when Jesus comes for his people. Death is just a sleep for the saved. There is no comprehension of time, it's like an instant because there is no knowledge or feelings, etc during death. When Jesus resurrected lazarus, he had been dead 4 days, however there is no commentary of lazarus taking about being in heaven those 4 days and then beamed back to earth, or in hell either because hell isn't even burning yet. The resurrection of damnation is for the lost, and they are reserved and will burn up and be destroyed in hell fire.

Don't have any "Paul thread". See my profile.

In any case, do you want me to walk you through the reply of Jesus to the Sadducees one step at a time, to show why what the Christians say is precisely the opposite of what Jesus said?

Wouldn't take but several minutes.

And it also ties in nicely with "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little and there a little. That they--that's you--might go and fall backwards and be broken and snared and taken."--Isaiah.

The soul is the entire person, body and breath. The life giving force, the breath of life goes back to God, there is no consciousness in that. The body dies and there is no thoughts or actions or memories etc in death. We don't have a soul, we ARE a soul. Lazarus wasn't in heaven, he was dead, until Jesus resurrected him, that's my point

The resurrection is the change from mortal to immortal, physical to spirit and Christ Himself demonstrated it in His resurrection to Heaven. Lazarus and others where physically resurrected NOT to immortality. The resurrection of the righteous comes at Christ's return in the clouds for those who are His.

Re: Jesus taught resurrection. What did he mean by it?
Scripture says “No man has ascended to heaven except Jesus.” John 3:13 That is what it says.

All who have ever lived are asleep – Dead.

There are 3 resurrections – the second resurrection is to give everyone that has ever lived and not given the chance to know God and his plan an opportunity to choose what God has to offer.

You can find the resurrection in Revelations.

Speaking from first-hand experience, when you receive the revelation of the memories of previous lives, it will seem as though you lived those lives a short time ago.

I lived a life some 800 years ago, for example.

And it seems like yesterday.

Jesus taught resurrection to show that God, our Father, would fulfill THE PROMISES he makes to people about how he sent his son to earth to baptize, heal, forgive, feed, and to be put to a death that Jesus fully accepted in order to RESURRECT to HEAVEN...yes, there is a GOD and a HEAVEN.

it means first, death of the ego/animal nature
and at the same time it's Resurrection by the Soul
