Big Explosion does not always equal nukes, however 50's era film techniques on 8 mm film are pure crap.

Also, Nuclear Fallout, Trinitite and fission products only result from Nuclear weapons - all verifiable with gamma ray spectroscopy.

This stretches appear in all nuclear bombs explosions, experimental or not (check also the Tzar bomb)!

Meaning that are a physics effect that is reproducible!

This effect is very interesting and is produced by the ionization of the air, in contact with the EMP energy produced immediately by the nuclear explosion.

To be entrusted by that, please observe that those stretches, appear before the creation of the mushroom and consequently the blast wave, thermal and air blow (the creation of mushroom), because the electromagnetic waves are propagating with the speed of light (almost!) and precedes all other observed effects of the bomb (heat, air blast, radiation plume, etc). It also take very short, because the pulse is extremely short, under milliseconds, but extremely intense.

So the electromagnetic radiation, instantly emitted by the nuclear reactions, will ionize the air in immediate vicinity of the bomb for a very short time, manifesting like plasma (the 3rd form of manifestation of matter), similar with thunder lightenings.
