Genesis Verse 1: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
John 1 and 10 and 14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the world and the world was made through Him
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory.
You have to take the Bible as a whole. In the beginning, God created everything. We are told that the Word.. the Bible tells us here that Jesus is the Word... in the beginning was the Word...In the beginning was Jesus, the second person of the triune Godhead... read the Bible..you'll find that throughout. The world was made through Him.. Read it..it's very clear. He came down to our level, He lived with us, after He created everything.
Read the Old Testament with the pictures in mind that the New Testament reveal to us thatthe sacrifices and offerings of the OT were previews of Jesus death on calvary. Throughout the OT, you will see foreviews and pictures of the coming Jesus, the Christ of the New Testament.

One of the many clear pictures of Jesus in the OT is Isaiah 53: Read it carefully. It is the gospel in the Old Testament. It gives the gospel, the lamb of God offering Himself for the sins of mankind---700 years before He was born into the sorrows of this world. Right there in Isaiah, the gospel is described--God's plan of redemption and work of redemption. It is the glorious figure of Christ on the Cross...the only hope of mankind. The gospel of the New Testament is clearly given in the Old.
Throughout the Old Testament, the message is that someone is coming, who will take away our sin.... Jesus is pictured there from the first verse in Genesis throughout. Dig just a little, and you'll see. If you want to keep the blinders on, you will not see. Jesus said that people are deaf and blind because they want to be---because they do not want to see.

Show me Jesus in Genesis. Which chapter/verse?

It is my experience that people who lash out at God and the Bible are the ones suffering the most. They are jealous, envious, covetous people who cannot stand to see someone deal with life on life's terms and with the comfort of God and His Divine Word. So miserable as they are, they seek to cause as many as they can to question their faith. It must suck to be so miserable.

I love Jesus. I love the Bible. I love my life

I'm not going to argue with anybody on this. Because you're not at a point where you are willing to listen to the truth. But once you suffer a lot, then you'll be ready.

That is true for the New Testament (except Revelation), but the Old Testament is death for every offense. Disobey your daddy, death by stoning. Prostitute yourself, death, worship idols, death. Somom was tuened into glass.

Where is that hope again?

If it wasn't for meddling parents christianity would be half of what it is now. How many of you can actually say you found 'Jesus' all by yourself with not one bit of guidance from another? not many because it was engrained in you from birth from your parents. Learn to think for yourselves, it is more enlightening than anything you have experienced so far.

But the whole premise is based entirely on mythology.
