New police tool in cheap phones
Police anti drug task forces have a new trick up their sleeves.

Decent cell phones running android can be bought for bargain basement prices but ghetto people love free. So they came out with Obama phone but for the more privacy minded drug involved folks in the ghetto they have not really taken off. Gubmint Finna use dat to spy's on me.

We'll now there is a new kind of free . And the drug involved ones have been going for it.

Phones left in conspicuous places with apps on them that run in the background and allow the cops to have an open line on the ones who pick them up.

Drug dealers love them and cops love that.

Miami pd has been doing this for a few months now and has run stings based on the intel they retrieved. They have made some pretty decent busts.

Not in the news or anything but I can tell that I know of it because I wrote the spying software and sell the doped handsets to the police department.

Only a moron drug dealer would willingly pick up an obvious tracking device.

Surprised one of their lawyers haven't accused the cops of going on a "fishing expedition" to get the case thrown out.

I don't think they report the use of the phone as a tool in the evidence.

I would guess they could just sluff that off because the persons are using "stolen" property. Using a service (making phone calls) without permission of the owner etc...
