It's not a priority here to identify and encourage the best athletes to play soccer here like it is in other cultures.

Everyone plays it as kids to gain footwork and stamina and to learn teamwork then moves on to other sports.

I've been wondering why we don't incorporate some of the funner sports like Rugby and Soccer into our lives.

And the thing is this: there was so much emphasis on the "Soccer Mom" of the 90s and 00s that you would have thought America would have soccer teams all over.

The idea of there being a World Cup that Americans pay little to no attention to is insane, especially when we expect every other Country to follow and like everything we do.

there are already pro soocer teams in the usa, its called mls ive been to a half dozen games. they are ok, nothing compared to the leagues in europe which have been established for hundreds of years plus we have other popular sports like baseball, basketball, football and hockey which are far more popular. after those 4 i think people just dont feel like following yet another sport, im one of these people

thats only regular season, in playoffs they have ot then penalty kicks until someone wins. its the same as the nfl

It's not about the scores Evan - it's about the skill playing with a ball without holding it. That's what makes it super fun when somebody scores dude! We all go proper mental!!

To be honest tho, soccer players are and must be top notch athletes. I went to a high school for 2 yrs that was 90% mexican, they were always playing soccer....I couldn't hang.

All that passing the ball around.... IMHO it's only exciting to watch when they're attacking the goal or taking shots.... A lot of the play that takes place in the mid-field is rather boring - back and forth and not a whole lot of movement/progression.... I played the sport for 8 years too.... I can't watch it on TV....

Baseball games are fun. Soccer, not so much. Soccer is a bit silly
