Just got a letter from Blue Cross - Fuck me

I hear you. Our letter from Health America came last week. The letter said that info. on the new "reformed" plans will be mailed soon. However, I have gone on-line to get an idea of the new rates and they are totally unaffordable. Cheapest plan for 2014 for the 2 of us is $5,0000 ayear more with an $11,000 family deductible and 30% co pay. The Blue Cross plans were even more. We can't afford it. Those who get their insurance through an employer will see rate hikes but not nearly as much as the individual policies being written. Totally totally screwed and we will be without insurance for the first time ever. I am seething at those SOB's in Washington.

Oh. Come now. You're just a "glitch," a "bump in the road" that can be dismissed on the road to Utopia. Just think of all the poor, downtrodden masses who are now getting "free" healthcare.

Yeah. I'm an asshole glitch who pays for the Nikes and 'free' lunches, and flatscreen the poor have.

I can't bring myself to send in my quarterly taxes, I'm so fucking pissed.

I received a letter frow Wellmark about two months ago letting me know they ammended the start of the plan year from Jan 1st to Dec 31st. This change keeps my on my current plan through Dec. 31st of 2014 before I have to really bend over with an HCA compliant plan.

Hopefully by then this POS legislation has crashed and burned and Barry is behing bars in Gauntanimo as an enemy combatant.

I would think that signing up 50 million new payees would cause rates to go down, but there's no accounting for GREED.

The 50 million you speak of are the bottom of the barrel "poor" and illegals that chose to go without healthcare when it was really affordable, and will now flood the system with their large broods and assorted poor folks maladies. ObamaRobertscare will probably be buying 50 million scooters for this group.

Also add in all the mandated coverage like contraceptives and substance abuse to see where premiums will go.

So why doesn't everyone who receives a letter like the one OP received from Blue Cross send copies to all of his/her Senators, Representatives, and to Mr. Obama with the above quote and ask for (or demand) an explanation?!

Exactly. ^That^ I'm going to talk to an attny I worked with when I was practicing law, I plan to go to a class action firm and file a lawsuit; breach of an oral contract. That pos of a president stated publicly that 'you can keep your insurance if you are happy with it' - well, asshole, I can't.

There is power in numbers. If we all copy the letters we receive from our current ins. carriers that tell us we can't continue b/c of obastardcare, and send them to state reps and senators, maybe it will move those bastards to actually act and represent us.

Since I have no faith in them, I'm going to start a class action suit.

Ya,,, I just got mine too. It states that my monthly medical rate is going for my "New Blue Shield" medical plan is to increase by $119.78 per month. Thank you Obama, you commie. I hope that the Republicans succeed in gutting your stupid socialist bullshit.

It's a misconception to think that your taxes are required to fund other peoples' welfare checks.... The government 'prints money' whenever it wants, wastes trillions on foreign wars, billions domestically on 'bailouts' and other corrupt and failed expenditures, etc.... They do not need your taxes to pay for the welfare system.... If 50% of the people suddenly stopped paying taxes for whatever reason, the welfare system would still be running just fine - because your tax money is not required to fund it....

The people who voted for Obama already get free healthcare and the only people who are subject to this stupid plan are those who pay for it themselves....

The army of takers who voted for Obama far out number the rest of us...we are truly fucked...

Then what the hell am I taxed for? If they don't need my money then why do I get the bill every april 15th?

Even with how i am now affected by it, all I can say is we deserve it all, we need to smother in it and drown in its misery. Maybe then people will have had enough of living in fantasy land that their government is on their side. They want you destroyed to the point of being invalid by stifling misery and weakness. To many people treat their government like rooting for a faggy football game, or that their gubermint loves and cares for them. They treat their politicians like men and women who they share beers with. America or its government is not a person, it is a monster grown with lab precision to eat your life away.

I am also looking into a class action law suit, once you find info please post here so others can find the contact info...The suit needs to be brought against the Government for violations of our rights and constitution, Judge Roberts will be the first one we need to talk with.

The question should be...Why do you pay it?

Mine went up 163.00, so now I guess I'll have to cancell my basic BASIC cable I work to provide for my family..LOL! it may be a small sacrifice but I won't give up paying my childs special needs teacher.

I like owning my own home and living in it rather than living in a damned jail cell...
