Divorce is legal even though it's a sin according to the Bible. It's legal to have Satanic, Islamic, Pagan marriages even though these things are against Christianity. Where's God's wrath over these things? The US is secular. It's the 1st amendment of the US constitution, which was later spread to state level by the 14th amendment.

The reason it's bad to force your religion on others is religion is based on faith not evidence. It's something non-believers can't objectively verify. So you are making people follow something they have no way of observing, and they don't believe. That's not a way to keep peace in a land. It creates divisiveness. So every law needs to be based on objective evidence.

All that needs to happen is to let gay people have equality, and at the same time don't let people sue churches. I don't agree with those situations where Christians are sued either, it's oppression, but when Christians deny equality to a minority simply because it goes against their religion that is forcing their religion on others. Christians become the oppressors when that happens. The US is not here to be the Christian version of Saudi Arabia. It's here to serve people of all worldviews as long as the people of that world views is not trying to harm others, or force it on others.

Even as a Christian I don't think you would want a government telling you what to believe. What if it's what you think is the wrong version of Christianity? There are over 40,000 Christian denominations out there. Instead what your worldview is should be a personal issue for everyone, where everyone can decide for themselves.

For the record, brainiac, you are correct that "an" does go before a word starting with a vowel, but there are a couple exceptions. One exception is an "O" that sounds like a "w", as in "one", another is a "u" that sounds like a "y", (like "user). A good way to remember this is by the way a word sounds. If it sounds like it starts with a vowel, use "an"; a consonant, use "A". But you would know that if you were in the ONE PERCENT. A note: next time you want to make a little fib, try making sound at least a little believable. I do know several people with genius-level IQ ranges and never have I seen them throw it in anyone's faces or announce it in any way. I've noticed that truly brilliant, classy or non-bigoted people rarely feel a need to broadcast it. (The biggest indicator to me that someone is a racist is for them to say "I'm not a racist.."). Correlation does not imply causation. This is the first of many problems with your assumption. Honestly, the "correlation" part is even kind of a stretch. I saw a rainbow today. If gays can legally marry, then they can legally adopt children right?
Maybe that would anger God, knowing that children would be brought up by gay parents.
It would be strange for the child having gay parents, and I could see a lot of children being abused.
