It's been said that ISON is behaving like a solid object and not giving off as much dust as expected. So I am not surprised if the nucleus turns out to be almost as big as the visible outer coma.

It seems this comet is throwing a lot of so-called "experts" for a loop. I've seen a LOT of varying info from different sources.

My only thought on this is what image was used and by who to run the filters, and in what program. OK - that is a lot of questions. If it a screen shot in photoshop, then the filters mean absolutely nothing. A full res pic, meh, though if it was raw we would be getting closer to seeing what could really be there. But not in phtoshop. The filters in photoshop really are only designed to mimic certain effects. They can reveal some things, if a shot is slightly overexposed for instance, but to take the original shot, all photoshop can do is mess with pixels in a desperate attempt to guess what you are looking for.
It would be interesting to know more about the source of the image file itself, and what program was used to make the manipulations.

That looks like BS to me. We've been through this hysteria with Elenin last year and this will just be the same.

he is just subtracting bright color spectrums with Photoshop.
