If our troops weren't there, they couldn't, and wouldn't want to get to our troops. Perhaps there are good uses, but enough bad uses and bad results, that it should be a last resort, if used at all. Personally, I don't think there is much of a case for using them, especially in countries we are not even at war with. Imagine how quick we would react if some country used a drone to kill one of ours.
