He asked Russia for help on March 4, AFTER he had already been ousted.

What got him in trouble with the west was on Jan 15, 2014 when he approved cooperation with the Customs Union. Financially he would have been nuts to have done otherwise and accepted the west's IMF austerity programme.

But Yanukovich had nothing to do with the events in Crimea.

It may soon be possible to spot CF-18 Hornet fighter aircraft, CC-130T Hercules and CC-150T Polaris air-to-air refuelling aircraft in several northern cities.



The North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, has launched a two-week exercise that will take place across the North for the first two weeks in April.



“It's a carefully operational exercise that is planned and controlled to ensure that NORAD's rapid response is sharp and that the capabilities that we want to see are there,” says Captain Wright Eruebi, with the Canadian NORAD Region Headquarters in Winnipeg.

I agree that he knows something we do not and I'm also of the opinion that it has to do with the imminent destruction of Ukraine by the same folks who've been behind so many other bloody "revolutions" in recent years. He's probably referring to choosing the Customs Union rather than the EU because that's when it all went off the rails.

Yanukovich said weeks ago that he does not want to see Crimea or any other portion separated from Ukraine. Obviously he considered it was a real possibility. Now he is just lamenting the outcome he feared.
