This story is an interesting sidenote to the people that think the big bang is a done deal. The physicists can force the numbers to work right back to the inflationary moment and no further. Wanna know why? "cause the big bang did not happen. Hawking is wrong.

Look, just because somebody has made a career out of physics and studying theorems and phenomena DOES NOT qualify them anymore than a hobo in an ally laying in piss-soaked clothing to start running their mouths about how they think they have the answer to the "origin of the universe."
