I've Been on GLP 24 Years and This Is Truly The Golden Age | |

There were only 300,000 of us on the world wide web at the time and it had only been a few years since Al Gore created the whole damn thing (as you can imagine, his constant badgering, "Are you feeling warm? Is it warm in here? Can we open a window?" was more than a little taxing). Quoting: BxMac Yes, it was a netty wild west back then and GLP saw it's share of lawlessness. Despite it all, the geep made it through (some attribute it to grace, while others give a nod to the strong, unblinking, stewardship of that ragtag team of GLP pioneers). Looking at it from both sides now, I can see these are the 'Golden Years' of GLP. New innovations and new and robust blood to fuel this netty thinktank. Does anyone remember Daily Radar or Boo.com? Of course you don't. GLP remains to tell the tale. An honor. Truly an honor. God Bless us all. Bless you for staying and making it what it is today. I stumbled upon GLP back in 2002 but became a fulltime lurker in 2008 and a paid member this month. |

Best of my knowledge, GLP was created in the early 2000's by a chick named Elaine. She then later sold it to Trinity/GM. I remember when Paul and Ringo wanted to reunite here, but we said, "no, we're not about that." Every scar tells a story. I wear them proudly as do all my early GLP brothers and sisters. |
